William Wyatt Moring
William Wyatt Moring was born in 1818 at the Moring home place in Prince Edward County. He was the oldest of Caswell and Emily's nine boys.
He was listed as "sheriff" in the 1850 Amelia County, Virginia Federal Census.
He served in "H" Company of the 44th Virginia Infantry of Amelia County, Virginia alongside his son Walter Fabius Maximus Moring.
He was dismissed late in 1861 for being "over age" for service.
